"La Perra"

"La Perra" is a film set on a remote, wind-swept island off the coast of Chilean Patagonia. The main character, Silvia, lives there with her partner and makes her living collecting seaweed. One day, Silvia finds an abandoned female dog and names her Yuri, the name she would have chosen for her longed-for daughter. The bond with the untamed animal fills the void left by her unfulfilled desire for motherhood. This relationship becomes the beginning of an unexpected confrontation in which love and tenderness clash with anger and painful memories from the past. For years, Silvia tried to escape them. The screening will take place on November 6, 2026 at 5:45 PM in the Sala kameralna MCK Sokół in Nowy Sącz.
