An Exceptional Concert in Italian Style

A concert in Italian style dedicated to Frank Sinatra's works. The stage will feature opera singers from the Roman Chamber Opera (Opera da Camera di Roma) accompanied by a string quartet. The event will take place at Royal Chopin Hall in Kraków. Frank Sinatra, an American singer and actor of Sicilian descent, incorporated Italian melodies into his compositions, often drawing from classical music, which is why operatic arias are featured in the program. Film music will also be included, alluding to the artist's somewhat controversial connections to Sicilian mafia circles. Sinatra's works will be performed in new arrangements in operatic and jazz styles. The concert aims to evoke 19th-century concerts where classical music held the same place for audiences as pop music does today. The concert initiative originated in Rome's opera houses. The program was designed with Polish palace and castle concert halls in mind, evoking aristocratic salons. Frank Sinatra's musical biography premiered at Teatru Słowackiego in 2013 and toured Europe for many years. In its new form, it is part of a 2025 European tour encompassing Berlin, Rome, Paris, Milan, Prague, and Vienna. It will be shown in Poland for the first time in this Italian version.
