"Welcome to Hope" (original "Hopeu") is a Korean science-fiction thriller directed by Hong-jin Na, screened at Miejskiego Centrum Kultury, Czytelnictwa i Edukacji in Grybów. The screening will take place on November 28, 2026 at 8:00 PM.
The action unfolds in a peaceful seaside town called Hope, which becomes cut off from the world by wildfires ravaging the surrounding forests. Police receive numerous reports of unusual activity involving predatory animals attacking people. It turns out this is only a preview of events to come: residents die in increasingly drastic circumstances, and the town becomes the target of an attack by mysterious creatures, resembling neither humans nor animals.
Two local police officers search for answers: where these creatures come from, what their intentions are, and whether Hope is only part of a larger plan. First, however, they must survive.
