Viennese New Year - Soloists - Orchestra - Dancers

The "Viennese New Year" gala is a concert in the form of a New Year's celebration styled as a Viennese ball, inspired by Vienna's traditions. Soloists from the Polish opera and operetta scene, an orchestra, and dancers will perform. The program features operatic and operetta arias and duets, with solo arias interspersed with duets, trios, and quartets. Viennese music—waltzes, polkas, and czardases—comes primarily from the Strauss family and others. Featured pieces include "Grande samba c'est un badinage", "Libiamo", and "An der schönen blauen Donau". The soloists will showcase both vocal and acting skills, complemented by dialogue. Dancers will present choreography to Viennese waltzes, czardases, and can-can. The orchestra will be conducted by Mieczysław Smyda, a long-time conductor of the Krynica Spa Orchestra and violin instructor at the Frédéric Chopin State Music School in Krynica. Formal attire is recommended. Organized by Business Art Renata Brukiewicz.
