SLOW ART - Adult Workshops "HOLIDAY STUDIO" / BWA

"Holiday Studio" is a workshop from the Slow Art cycle - Flowers in Process. It takes place on December 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Galerii Sztuki Współczesnej BWA Sokół in Nowy Sącz. Participants will create their own Christmas compositions using plant materials, natural additions, and holiday accents. The workshops will cover how color, texture, and proportion affect the character of decorations. The starting point will be evergreen branches, pinecone structure, and subtle ornaments. Based on these, participants will create their own arrangement for the holiday table or home interior. The program includes three parts: - Base of the holiday composition - methods for preparing the arrangement base, securing floristic elements, and arranging greenery to give the decoration shape and maintain proportions. - Natural materials and holiday accents - combining branches, pinecones, dried additions, candles and ornaments, and selecting colors and textures while maintaining balance between plant form and decorative details. - Own Christmas composition - each participant creates an arrangement according to their own idea, from a muted, natural decoration to a composition full of holiday colors. Practical information: The workshops are designed for adults and seniors who want to prepare a decoration with their own hands and learn the basics of floristry. Floristry experience is not necessary, and each step of the work will be shown step-by-step with room for individual ideas and color choices. Each participant takes their finished work home. The meeting takes place in the spirit of Slow Art, with time to explore materials, make creative decisions, and have shared conversation.
