"Truth" New Year's Eve Performance

"Truth" by Florian Zeller directed by Tadeusz Łomnicki. Does truth protect or complicate life and relationships? "Truth" by Florian Zeller is a dynamic, ironic comedy about relationships where honesty quickly becomes a minefield. The characters — young adults with years of relationship experience — are convinced they know it all: how to love, how to trust, and how to tell the truth. Until they don't. Michel believes not every truth is necessary. Especially an inconvenient one. An affair with his best friend's wife sets off an avalanche of events: half-truths, sudden changes in story, nervous improvisation, and increasingly convoluted lies. One word too many, one omission — and everything begins to fall apart. These romantic mishaps lead to a series of amusing, farcical situations full of misunderstandings, plot twists, and comedic chaos, where everyone tries to save face but no one controls their own version of the truth anymore. Zeller shows with lightness and precision how absurdity emerges from seemingly reasonable decisions — and asks the question: does truth really protect, or does it simply dramatically complicate life?
