"Animal Pyramid"

"Animal Pyramid" is a performance directed by Michał Borczuch based on a text and dramaturgy by Mateusz Górniak. It consists of four parts, each inspired by one of the preserved animals from the provocative sculpture by Katarzyna Kozyra of the same title. Borczuch and Górniak move from critical art of the 1990s to the present day, asking whether we are capable of using the freedom we have. The performance will be shown on 15.12.2026 at 17:00 at Scena Kameralna of Narodowy Stary Teatr im. Heleny Modrzejewskiej. In November 2025 it received the Marka Radia Kraków award. Tomasz Domagała from DOMAGAŁAsięKULTURY wrote about the performance: "Everything in this show is of the highest standard". He particularly highlighted the music by Bartosz Dziadosz and the camera work of Jakub Katarzyński.
