About this event
"Songs About People With Soul" is a concert by Grażyna Łobaszewska and Adam Nowak (Raz Dwa Trzy). For both artists, the word is as important as the music. Together with the Ajagore band, they have prepared new arrangements of their greatest hits and lesser-known but beloved songs, which they will perform together. As the musicians themselves say, "something sparked." That's why we're talking about concert participants, not viewers.
Among the greatest hits in the program are: "Czas nas uczy pogody", "Trudno nie wierzyć w nic", "Brzydcy", "Pod niebem pełnym cudów", "Gdybyś", and "W wielkim mieście". There will be more songs as well. Some pieces didn't make the hit lists, and the audience may not know their lyrics.
Grażyna Łobaszewska is regarded as a legend of the Polish music scene and by many as the First Lady of Polish Song. She has been compared to Aretha Franklin and Billie Holiday, and was called the blackest of white vocalists. She has been on stage for over 50 years. Her hits include "Czas nas uczy pogody", "Brzydcy", "Gdybyś", and "Za szybą (całkiem spokojnie wypiję trzecią kawę)". She is currently working on a new album.
Adam Nowak is a poet, lyricist, composer, guitarist and vocalist, founder and leader of the band Raz Dwa Trzy. He has been performing for over 40 years. Many compare him to Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Tom Waits, but he doesn't like such comparisons. Anna Dymna says about him: "Adam is not only a wonderful artist, but above all an extremely kind, smiling, likeable colleague, a truly genuine person who makes everyone feel good. He has excellent rapport with the audience."
Ajagore is a band of friends from Kociewia, based in Tczew. It belongs to the jam band genre and is rooted in folk, rock and jazz. The leader is Maciej Kortas, a guitarist. The lineup also includes Paweł Urowski on bass and double bass, and Łukasz Łapiński on instruments.
