"The Gentleman Returns, or Auditions for a Dad"

"The Gentleman Returns, or Auditions for a Dad" is a comedy with Czech humor, directed by Maciej Wierzbicki. The cast includes: - Katarzyna Ankudowicz - Piotr Ligienza / Marcin Perchuć The action takes place in the 1970s on a deserted, gray railway station, where two strangers happen to meet. Maria "Thick Glass" is a woman with a wealth of experience, sensitive and determined to take life into her own hands. Antoni "Sheet Metal" is a man lost in his own world, with a difficult past and hidden loneliness. Everything divides the protagonists, but they are united by the need for closeness and the passage of time. At one moment, Maria makes a surprising, intimate proposition to the stranger, and a question is asked between these two people—one that usually shouldn't be asked. The play doesn't reveal what Maria came up with, how Antoni reacts, or whether this meeting produces a recipe for happiness. It's a bittersweet story about building your own world and seeking closeness where others see only empty platforms. Laughter intertwines with tears of emotion.
