About this event
"Oskar and Mrs. Rosa" is a theatrical production based on the bestselling novel by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt. Featuring Karolina Fortuna (guest), Ewa Sąsiadek, and Michał Kaszak (guest). The protagonist is ten-year-old Oskar, who experiences an intense period in his life and documents it through a videoblog. He discovers first love and true friendship, learns about the responsibility of starting a family, and experiences separation and reconciliation. He learns to forgive, begins to better understand adults and their problems, and discovers the difficulties faced by people in adulthood. Through this, he learns to appreciate life's small moments and cherish what fate brings. He also realizes that a hundred years can pass surprisingly quickly, so one must live them fully. Throughout these days, he is accompanied by Mrs. Rosa, an elderly woman full of warmth, imagination, and optimism. She shares her extraordinary past with the boy, becoming in his eyes the fearless "Strangler of Languedoc". She encourages him to attempt the impossible, helps him befriend God, and finds in him the courage that many adults lack. The performance speaks about the value of life, love, courage, the power of imagination, and acceptance of the inevitable.
