Our Revolution

"Our Revolution" is a film about the love of two people who believed that together they could change the world, and were able to turn that belief into action. Their feelings are stronger than fear, repression, and political violence. The male protagonist is charismatic, uncompromising, and willing to pay the highest price for his convictions. The female protagonist is brave, full of warmth and determination, and in their common struggle becomes a quiet force. Their love is the heart and engine of the story. Against the backdrop of the protagonists' fates, the film shows key events from recent Polish history: labor protests, the birth of democratic opposition, the activity of the Workers' Defense Committee, surveillance, imprisonment, and the tragedy of martial law. The camera moves from intimate moments of domestic life to moments of historical trial, in which privacy gives way to responsibility for others. The protagonists' apartment becomes a space of conspiracy, and everyday life means a constant choice between safety and solidarity. The film tells the story of how a great idea intertwines with intimacy and how private life becomes part of history. It shows two people for whom love was an act of courage and a force capable of changing the course of events.
