Agata Ślazyk, an artist associated with Piwnica pod Baranami, has prepared a program of frivolous songs, satirical pieces, witty songs and musical wordplay jokes. These have accumulated in her repertoire over years of performing at the Piwnica. The idea stems from the theme of celebration. Piotr Skrzynecki, the leader and host of Piwnica pod Baranami, loved to celebrate, and the tradition of organizing benefits and jubilees for artists and public figures continues at the Piwnica to this day.
The program will feature texts by, among others: Wiesław Dymny, Jeremi Przybora, Agnieszka Osiecka, Julian Tuwim, Marian Załucki, Antoni Marianowicz, Andrzej Waligórski, and Bonifacy Dymarczyk, a bard, fabulist and satirist, co-creator of cabarets "Adios muchachos" and "Żegnajcie chłopcy".
Also included will be texts by Agata Ślazyk herself. Her first solo album showed she uses words freely. The artist will also sing the first ever song to words by Piotr Skrzynecki. The repertoire includes works known from radio broadcasts as well as songs she performed as encores after recitals by audience request. There will be many premiere performances, and alongside satire and humor, a few lyrical songs for balance. Agata Ślazyk will discuss the history behind many of the works and amusing events connected to them. Tomasz Kmiecik, a cellar composer known for the concert "Gdzieś na ulicy nienazwanej - Pieśni Piwnicy pod Baranami", will host the entire evening.
Practical information: organizers request punctual arrival. Once the program begins, entry to the hall will not be possible.
