"Shady Business"

"Shady Business" is a criminal farce by Robin Hawdon directed by Jerzy Bończak. The action takes place in the apartment of an influential gangster, where a group of people meet, connected by chance or a carefully planned scheme. None of them tells the whole truth. Among the characters are Big Mack, who conducts business best left unquestioned, and Terry Razor, eager to solve problems by force. Marry tries to control the chaos, while Tania loses patience with the men around her. Laura also appears in the apartment—an attractive, intelligent woman, and remarkably self-assured for a chance acquaintance. A dinner transforms into a series of misunderstandings, suspicions, and increasingly absurd lies. Everyone pretends to be someone else, and one lie leads to another, so the intrigue spirals out of control. The show is built on sharp dialogue, plot twists, and situational humor. It features disguises, false identities, gangsters, financial scams, and romantic complications. The story demonstrates that one thoughtless move can trigger an avalanche of events that no one can control. When money, love, jealousy, and fear of exposure come into play, chaos escalates.
