Kino Konesera - "Vivaldi and I"

"Vivaldi and I" is a new film by the producers of "The Great Beauty" and "Youth". It will be shown on October 30 at 6:00 PM at Kino Klaps as part of the "Kino Konesera" series. The series features European cinema, emotionally engaging world productions, and ambitious Polish cinema, as well as screenings of films that are not necessarily popular. The action takes place in Venice at the beginning of the 18th century. The city combines wealth, art, and moral freedom with strict religious institutions and clear social divisions. A talented teenage violinist, Cecilia (Tecla Insolia), lives in the orphanage Ospedale della Pietà. Antonio Vivaldi (Michele Riondino) becomes her new teacher. Under his care, the girl begins to believe that she can avoid an arranged marriage and choose her own path. The film, filled with music, tells the story of Antonio Vivaldi, one of the greatest composers in history. It premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and won the audience award at the Chicago International Film Festival. Practical information: ticket price is 16 zł.
