"DING DONG or KARMA RETURNS - a marital farce with a twist!" is a farce set in elegant Paris. Bernard Marcellin discovers his wife is unfaithful. Instead of picking a fight or filing for divorce, he invites the lover to dinner and gives him an ultimatum. The story features a jealous husband, a frightened lover, an overconfident wife, "the wrong one," and a maid who knows more than she should. One lie triggers an avalanche of others. Everyone is hiding something, no one wants to admit the truth, and the apartment door opens again and again like in an action comedy, except in a bedroom-marital version. The play asks whether fidelity can be given as "compensation," whether infidelity can be a way to save a marriage, and what happens if karma really does return. It tells of passions spiraling out of control and marriages beyond repair. The ending is one no one wants to remember—and that's precisely why everyone does. The production plays throughout Poland. Its heroine is known to audiences of Marc Camoletti's farces.
