"DING DONG or KARMA RETURNS" – a marital farce with a twist!

The production "DING DONG or KARMA RETURNS" tells the story of Bernard Marcellini, who discovers his wife is unfaithful. Rather than causing a scene or filing for divorce, he invites the lover to dinner and gives him an ultimatum. The action takes place in elegant Paris. The story features a jealous husband, a frightened lover, an overly confident wife, "the wrong one," and a maid who knows more than she should. One lie leads to another, everyone is hiding something, and the apartment doors open repeatedly like in an action comedy, except in a bedroom-matrimonial version. The production raises questions: can fidelity be given as "compensation," can infidelity save a marriage, and what happens if karma really does return? It's a farce about passions spiraling out of control and marriages that cannot be fixed. The ending is one nobody wants to remember, yet everyone remembers it anyway. The performances are staged throughout Poland. **Cast** (performers listed in pairs, separated by slash): - Katarzyna Skrzynecka / Joanna Kurowska - Piotr Szwedes / Mariusz Zaniewski - Karolina Chapko / Joanna Moro - Lesław Żurek / Kirył Pietruczuk - Adriana Kalska / Michalina Robakiewicz - Olga Bończyk / Laura Breszka **Creators:** - Direction: Artur Barciś - Translation: Lesław Żurek - Costumes: Zuzanna Markiewicz - Set design: Wojtek Stefaniak
