"Camino dla opornych" (Polish subtitles)

"Camino dla opornych" is a French comedy with heart and humor in the spirit of "The Intouchables", inspired by a true story. The screening will have Polish subtitles. The main character, Fréd, is a teacher with 15 years of experience. After an unfortunate incident with a student, she is suspended from work, and her personal life falls apart at the same time. At a friend's urging, she joins a youth support program and becomes a mentor to 17-year-old Adam, a boy with an explosive temperament and a troublesome record. Both of them face a three-month hiking pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, without phones or internet, with a mandatory limit of 25 kilometers per day. Fréd tries to leave her past behind, and Adam wants to learn to control his anger and come to terms with painful memories. Along the way come arguments, laughter, surprising confessions, and unexpected adventures, and amid breathtaking landscapes, an extraordinary bond forms between the two characters. The film tells about second chances and finding oneself. The pilgrimage, as the description reads, decidedly got out of control.
