"Ms. Baletka's Academy: The Lost Melody" is an interactive concert for children aged 3-8, part of the Ms. Baletka's Academy series organized by Dreamlive Concerts. Live piano music, classical dance, and shared play come together in one story. Performers include a professional ballet dancer and a pianist.
The plot begins with a melody disappearing from the Land of Ballet. Without it, no dance can begin, and enchanted stories have come to a standstill. Ms. Baletka needs help from the young audience to find all the missing sounds. Together with her, children will embark on a musical journey through lands known from the world of ballet. They will visit, among others, "Swan Lake" and the world of "The Nutcracker," and meet characters and music from other ballet stories. Each successive dance brings them closer to solving the puzzle.
Children won't just be spectators. They will help Ms. Baletka, perform simple movement tasks, and discover rhythm and music. At selected moments, they will themselves become part of the story. They will also learn what pirouettes are, what a ballet dancer's costume looks like, how dancers tell stories without words, and how much work it takes to unite movement, music, and emotion on stage. At the end, they will try a few simple ballet positions and see if they can restore music to the Land of Ballet.
Practical information: the concert lasts approximately 45 minutes, including animation and presentation. Entry to the venue is 15 minutes before the start. Each person, whether child or adult, must have their own admission ticket. Children may sit on a specially prepared mat, on chairs among the audience, or on parents' laps, and may also move freely around the space. The concert takes place without LED candles. Other rules are specified in the Concert Regulations.
