An Empire-style palace from 1830-1840 in a park with old trees, today a training and tourist centre.
The palace and park complex in Kamienica in Limanowa County consists of an Empire-style palace with a landscape park around it. It formerly belonged to the Marszałkowicz family, and today the palace serves as a training and tourist centre.
The brick palace was built between 1830 and 1840 for Maksymilian Marszałkowicz, then owner of Kamienica. It is a white building under a hipped black shingle roof. A colonnade decorates the single-storey main body, with two-storey wings on the sides. The park has old trees, including arborvitae, Weymouth pine, Swiss pine, red oak and Serbian spruce. It is entered in the voivodeship heritage records.
The complex also includes the Kirchner manor house from the early 19th century, the former post office with small columns on its façade, which now houses a restaurant, and a former armoury or granary and a forester's lodge. Nearby stands the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Kamienica.
