About Observation Tower in Jadowniki

Metal observation tower, 25 m high, on the Bocheniec hill in the Wiśnicz Foothills.

The observation tower in Jadowniki, also called the Bocheniec tower, stands in the southern part of the village, on the Bocheniec hill in the Wiśnicz Foothills (394 m above sea level). It belongs to the municipality of Brzesko.

The tower

It is a metal structure 25 m high, completed in 2023. The viewing platform has a board describing the panorama and a telescope.

What can be seen from the platform

The view covers the full horizon. According to the Wikipedia description, you can see the Wiśnicz Foothills, the Sącz Beskids, the Island Beskids and the Tatra Mountains (Tatras), and in good visibility also more distant ranges, including the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. Right next to the hill is the Bocheniec hillfort, so the climb up the tower is easy to combine with a look at the site.

Practical information

  • Getting there: by the asphalt road from the church of St Procopius in Jadowniki towards the summit of Bocheniec.
  • Next to the tower there is a small car park and a shelter.
  • Check the rules of admission and use of the tower with the Brzesko municipal office.
