A 22 m wooden observation tower on the summit of Radziejowa, the highest mountain in the Sącz Beskids.
The Radziejowa Observation Tower stands on the summit of the highest mountain in the Sącz Beskids (1,266.5 m above sea level), on the boundary of the villages of Jaworki and Roztoka Ryterska. It is a wooden structure 22 metres high, with a viewing platform at a height of 17.1 metres, rising above the trees that cover the summit.
According to Wikipedia the present tower was built in 2022 and has a timber frame with bolted joints and steps of metal mesh. The earlier wooden towers, from 2006 and 2010, did not survive; they were damaged, among other things, by lightning and by fungus in the wood. The new structure was financed by the state forests administration.
Four labelled panoramas have been set up on the platform, and there are also benches. By the tower there is a monument to the millennium of the Polish state and information boards.
From the platform you can see the Sącz Basin, the Pieniny Mountains, the Tatras, the Island Beskids and the Żywiec Beskids. The summit itself, described separately as Radziejowa, is reached by trails from several sides.
According to Wikipedia the easiest ascent is about 5.4 km long and leads through Obidza, and the walk takes about 2.5 hours. On the route lies the Obidza Shepherds' Hut. Longer trails start from Rytro and Jaworki, and all are marked in the colours of tourist trails. Check their colours and current condition on a tourist map or with PTTK information.
In this part of the Sącz Beskids there is also the PTTK mountain hut on Przehyba. From the Jaworki side you reach the Homole Gorge.
