A tourist observation tower from 2006 on the eastern slope of Brzanka, 23 m high, with a view of the foothills and the Tatras.
The Brzanka Observation Tower stands on the eastern slope of Brzanka mountain (534 m above sea level) in Jodłówka Tuchowska, in the Ciężkowice Foothills. It is a tourist tower opened in 2006, from which you can see several ranges of foothills and, in good weather, the Tatras as well.
The tower is 23 metres high, and the highest terrace is at about 18 metres. The structure is a steel lattice narrowing towards the top, complemented by wooden elements. The tower is crowned by a hipped roof, and wide stairs with four viewing terraces lead to the successive levels.
From the top you can see the Ciężkowice Foothills and the Rożnów Foothills, and to the south the Tatras. On the highest level there is a photographic panorama with labels of the visible places, as well as tourist information, which helps in recognising the area.
The tower lies in the Brzanka Range region, protected by the Brzanka Range Landscape Park, less than 5 km away. In the same area is the Tuchów Municipal Museum.
