A wooden salt graduation tower in Czarna Góra park in Olkusz, opened in June 2024, open seasonally.
The salt graduation tower in Olkusz stands in the "Czarna Góra" park, next to the tennis courts and the swimming pool complex. It was officially opened on 26 June 2024 and is described as the largest salt graduation tower in the area.
The structure of larch wood is almost 7 metres high. Brine trickles down blackthorn brushwood with a surface of almost 700 square metres, and an aerosol rises around it, which can be breathed in during a walk. There are benches inside and outside, and additional lighting comes on after dark.
The graduation tower is open daily from 8:00 to 21:00, but only seasonally: from March to the end of October. Admission is free. There are toilets nearby.
It is not far to the centre. On a walk around the old town you can look in at Underground Olkusz, at the tower or at the Africanist Museum.
