A 780 km cycling route from Kraków through Moravia to Vienna, marked with a green logo.
Greenways Kraków - Moravia - Vienna is an international natural and cultural heritage route based on a network of cycling, walking, water and horse-riding routes. Its main axis is a cycling route 780 km long, which links historic cities and towns with rural areas of scenic value.
The route runs from Kraków across the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, the Oświęcim Basin, the Silesian Foothills and the Silesian Beskids, then through the Moravian-Silesian Foothills into South Moravia, and ends in Lower Austria. In Lesser Poland it leads through Alwernia, where the main branch was officially opened in July 2004.
The main branch has a green logo, the side branches a dark blue one. In time the route is meant to become the longest avenue of trees in Europe: the first trees were planted in 2003, and in the Lesser Poland section the planting was supplemented in 2007.
