About Świat Marzeń - Fairy-Tale Stronghold

The medieval Fairy-Tale Stronghold in Inwałd, part of the Świat Marzeń amusement park, with a castle, a settlement and animations for children.

The Fairy-Tale Stronghold (Baśniowa Warownia) is part of the Świat Marzeń amusement park in Inwałd near Wadowice, at Wadowicka 169. It is a stylised medieval stronghold with a castle and a settlement, where children meet characters from legends: Knight Paszko, the Witch Ariana and the Dragon Szafir.

Castle and outer ward

The stronghold opened in July 2012 as the Medieval Stronghold Inwałd. For several years it hosted historical events, shows and spectacular sieges involving re-enactment groups, and today it has kept its medieval character but has also become a place for fairy-tale stories. Within the castle walls you can look into, among others, the Lady's Chamber, the Armoury and the Wax Workshop (the Torture Chamber is sometimes temporarily closed). In the Medieval Settlement in the outer ward you can see how a blacksmith, weaver, potter and ropemaker worked.

Other attractions in the stronghold

Over time the Laser Arena, Mega Blocks, Monkey Grove, Dragon Lands and family animations were added. Every year the harvest festival Dragon Harvest takes place here, inspired by Slavic traditions, music and old rites.

The whole Świat Marzeń park

The stronghold is one of the zones of a larger park. The oldest of them, opened in May 2007, is the Miniature Park with models of well-known buildings from Poland and the world, including the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty; next to it is the “Świat Marzeń” Miniature Park in Inwałd. The park also has a funfair with a roller coaster, a 5D cinema and a Ferris wheel, and a seasonal water park with inflatable slides. On selected days the youngest receive a map of challenges with tasks and riddles.

Nearby

Inwałd also has Dinolandia, and a little further away is the “Kucyk” Mini Zoo. History enthusiasts can travel to Wadowice, to the Family Home of Pope John Paul II.
