Małe Ciche Ski Station

Małe Ciche
About Małe Ciche Ski Station

A ski resort in Poronin municipality with two chairlifts and easy blue runs.

Małe Ciche Ski Station is a ski resort in Poronin municipality, on the western slopes of the ridge between the peaks Wierch Zgorzelisko and Zadni Wierch. The slopes descend gently towards the Filipczański Stream, which flows through the village. The runs are easy, so the resort is well suited to learning to ski.

Runs and lifts

About 3 km of blue runs are available, ranging in length from 100 to 1,300 m with a gradient of 13-18 per cent. The resort has two four-seat chairlifts: "Zgorzelisko-Express", 1,250 m long, and "Małe Ciche", 750 m long, each with a capacity of 2,200 people per hour. They are supplemented by three drag lifts: one 500 m long, one 210 m on the eastern slope and an 80 m one for beginners.

The first chairlift opened in 2005, the second in 2013.

Facilities

The slopes have artificial snowmaking and evening lighting. There is a snowpark, a ski school, equipment hire, restaurants and a hotel, and on site there is a TOPR (Tatra Volunteer Rescue Service) rescue station.

Practical information

  • The lower station lies in the village of Małe Ciche. You can also drive to the car park by the upper station, on Polana Zgorzelisko.
  • Check hours and conditions on the slopes on the resort's website (maleciche.com) before you travel.
  • In the area there are other places to visit, for example the SkyWalk Serce Poronina.
