A PTTK bacówka of 1989 at 843 m above sea level, with 40 beds in the Sącz Beskids.
The PTTK Mountain Hut under Bereśnik, also called the Bacówka under Bereśnik, lies at 843 m above sea level in the Sącz Beskids, in the Radziejowa Range. The approach leads from Szczawnica.
The bacówka (shepherd's-style mountain hut) was opened to tourists in 1989. It was built by the Pieniny branch of the PTTK in Szczawnica. In August 2013 the building was named after Edward Moskała, and according to the Wikipedia entry it was the last of similar tourist buildings whose construction he initiated.
In August 2009 the magazine “n.p.m.” placed the hut third in a ranking of mountain huts.
The building has 40 beds in 2-, 4-, 7- and 8-person rooms, and the owner is the PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society). A yellow trail leads from Szczawnica: uphill it takes about an hour, downhill 40 minutes. A black trail runs to the Zaskalnik waterfall and takes 45 minutes up and an hour down. A blue trail also leads to Szczawnica.
From the hut you can set out for Palenica or the Orlica mountain hut, and in the valley lies Dietl Square.
