Mountain hut at 834 m above sea level above Jaworki in the Pieniny, with 50 beds, accessible only on foot.
The Durbaszka mountain hut lies in the Pieniny near Jaworki, not far from Szczawnica, at an altitude of 834 m above sea level. No road for cars leads to it: from the village you have to walk uphill for about an hour.
According to the hut's website there are 50 beds, in double rooms upstairs and four-bed rooms with bunk beds on the ground floor. Guests have a common room with satellite television, an educational room and a fireplace room. Next to the hut are a covered campfire spot and courts for basketball and beach volleyball. Home-cooked meals are prepared for overnight guests. Alcohol is not sold at the centre.
The hut accepts school trips and individual tourists, as places allow. Not far away is the summit of Durbaszka, and in the valley the Homole Gorge, about 1.6 km from here.
