A stone-and-brick ammunition shelter from 1913-1914, part of the Austrian Kraków Fortress in Nowa Huta, in poor technical condition.
The “Mogiła” ammunition shelter is a structure of the Austrian Kraków Fortress, standing on Melchior Wańkowicz Street by the Dłubnia River in Nowa Huta, about 300 metres from the Nowa Huta Reservoir.
The shelter was built in 1913-1914 to a standard design. It was built of stone and brick, and the roof slab is of steel and concrete and covered with sheet metal.
According to the description in the Wikipedia entry the shelter is in poor technical condition, without armoured doors and shutters, and a modern annexe of concrete blocks has been put up in front of the entrance. The structure is devastated and falling into ruin, so it is not suitable for entering.
