A forest reserve of 1989 in the Wieliczka Foothills, with Carpathian beech forest and fir in the stand.
The Kozie Kąty Nature Reserve is a forest reserve in Skawina municipality, in Kraków County. It lies in the north-western part of the Las Bronaczowa forest complex, not far from the hamlet of Rozparka in the village of Radziszów, in the area of the Myślenice Forest District.
The reserve covers 24.21 ha and was established by a ministerial order of 3 March 1989. The aim of protection is to preserve a fragment of natural mixed stand with fir in the western part of the Wieliczka Foothills.
The reserve has Carpathian beech forest, acidophilous lowland beech forest, oak-hornbeam forest and fragments of communities close to mixed coniferous forest. The undergrowth contains about 40 species of vascular plants: ferns, such as lady fern and narrow buckler-fern, as well as hairy woodrush, bilberry and May lily. Protected or formerly protected plants growing here include goat's beard, asarabacca, mezereon, Turk's cap lily and green false hellebore. Wikipedia also states that protected birds occur in large numbers.
