A landscape reserve of 1963 in the Little Pieniny, with rocks and grasslands along a stream.
The Biała Woda Nature Reserve is a landscape reserve in the Little Pieniny, in Szczawnica municipality. It lies in Jaworki, around the Biała Woda stream, and was established in 1963. Wikipedia describes it as one of the gorges of the Pieniny Mountains, suitable for walks and bike rides.
The reserve covers 33.71 ha and is under partial protection, and it is managed by the Krościenko Forest District. The area is mostly treeless, with xerothermic rock grasslands on which relict mountain plants grow, among others mountain avens and alpine Trisetum. Above the stream stand rocks with names of their own: Smolegowa Skała, Czerwona Skała known as the Sphinx, Kociubylska Skała and Brysztańskie Skały. The Brysztański Stream flows into the Biała Woda stream.
An asphalt road leads to the reserve from Jaworki along the Grajcarek. A yellow hiking trail runs through the reserve to the Jaworki-Litmanowa border crossing, and a green cycling trail leads through Szczob and the Gromadzka Pass. Nearby is also the Homole Gorge.
