Place in Swoszowice where the 20°E meridian and the 50°N parallel cross within the boundaries of Kraków.
The intersection point of 50°N and 20°E lies within the administrative boundaries of Kraków, in Swoszowice. It is the only case in Poland in which a meridian and a parallel of whole tens of degrees cross on its territory.
The place is defined by geographical coordinates: 50 degrees north latitude and 20 degrees east longitude. The Wikipedia entry on Kraków indicates that within the city boundaries the 20°E meridian crosses the 50°N parallel. The Wikimapia page given for this point calls it a monument to the intersection of these lines, but it could not be opened, so we do not describe how the place is marked on the ground.
