Family Park "Uzbornia"

Family Park "Uzbornia" is a recreation area on one of the hills of Bochnia, with a playground, sports facilities and an amphitheatre. It lies away from busy streets, which makes it convenient for families with children.

What is in the park

The largest part is a big wooden playground in the form of an obstacle course: with moving bridges, platforms and ropes, slides, and climbing walls and tunnels linked by little houses. It suits older children better than one-year-olds. Alongside are football, volleyball and basketball pitches, an outdoor gym, a skate park, a pond and rest shelters.

Events and walks

The amphitheatre hosts concerts and family events with competitions, games and face painting. The walking paths can be used with a pushchair, but they are steep, so cycling or riding a scooter can be difficult. After playing you can walk down to the Bochnia Salt Mine, about a kilometre away.

Practical information

• Access: from ulica Dąbrowskiego turn left into ulica Uzbornia, where there is a large car park on the left.
• There are public toilets by the car park.
• Check the rules and the availability of individual facilities with the Municipal House of Culture in Bochnia, which publishes notices for park users.
