About Krowoderski Park

A park of 8.01 ha in Prądnik Biały with a sledging hill, sports pitches and a playground.

Krowoderski Park in the Prądnik Biały district of Kraków covers 8.01 ha and is a green recreation area for the housing estates in this part of the city. It is bounded by five streets: Opolska, Batalionu Skała AK, Władysława Łokietka, Tadeusza Makowskiego and Jana Palacha.

Origin of the name

The park received the name Krowoderski by a resolution of the Kraków City Council in June 1998.

What you can do here

In the park there is the PKS Jadwiga pitch, formerly belonging to KS Krowodrza, and several smaller pitches. There is a sledging hill, secured on the Opolska Street side with tyres, netting and shrubs. Children have a playground (ogródek jordanowski), and dog owners a fenced run with benches and a wooden gazebo. This is complemented by a set of items of small-scale architecture.

Trails through the park

The Trail of the Eagles' Nests passes through the park, beginning on the Osiedle Krowodrza Górka estate not far from the bus and tram terminus. Cycle route no. 2 from Młynówka Królewska Park towards Ojców also runs through here. If after the walk you want to see greenery in the centre, Planty Park is about 3 km away.
