A pocket park on Celarowska Street in Prądnik Czerwony, whose leading motif is a pedunculate oak that is a natural monument.
Ogród Dębowy (Oak Garden) is a pocket park in Kraków, in the Prądnik Czerwony district, on Celarowska Street. It is managed by the Municipal Greenery Authority.
The main theme of the park is a pedunculate oak which, according to the Municipal Greenery Authority's website, is a natural monument. The tree gave the place its name and shaped the whole layout of the garden. The website recalls that in the beliefs of the ancient Slavs the oak symbolised courage, strength, wisdom and masculinity.
The Municipal Greenery Authority has published on the park's page a detailed design for download, with a list of furnishings and a planting plan. According to the description the park is meant to attract squirrels, so the plantings were chosen so that they have something to feed on and somewhere to take shelter. The website does not name specific plant species in its main text, so the details have to be checked in the downloaded design.
