About Nowa Huta Cultural Centre

A municipal cultural institution in Nowa Huta with a large theatre stage and the Beksiński and Duda-Gracz galleries.

The Nowa Huta Cultural Centre (Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury) is a municipal cultural institution at al. Jana Pawła II 232, not far from Plac Centralny in Nowa Huta. The building was erected from the mid-1970s until 1983 to a design by Zbigniew Pawelski.

Artistic groups work in the centre, and the large theatre hall is among the largest stages in Kraków. The stage hosts theatre performances, concerts, dance, ballet and cabaret. Recurring festivals are also organised, among them of children's theatre, contemporary dance and cabaret, as well as conferences, symposia and exhibitions.

Galleries

The Duda-Gracz Gallery, opened in January 2020, presents 100 paintings on 210 m2, from the artist's family collection.
