A municipal museum of the locksmith's craft with a collection of historic padlocks, in a school building.
The Marcin Mikuła Locksmithing Museum in Świątniki Górne is a municipal institution housed in the building of the School Complex. It shows the old craft for which Świątniki is known.
In 1888 the Imperial-Royal Locksmithing School was founded here, and in 1893 a museum of the locksmith's craft, closed in 1939. The idea was returned to in 1970 by the regionalist Marcin Mikuła, who opened a regional room. The present museum was opened in 2008.
The exhibition includes locksmithing tools and products with a collection of historic padlocks, old documents, mementoes of the Wawel sextons (świątnicy), after whom Świątniki is named, and an ethnographic exhibition. The museum's website also mentions an exhibition of armourers' work and the history of the airmen from Świątniki. Temporary exhibitions, lectures and workshops for schools take place.
