A museum in the Ludwikowski Small Palace with exhibitions on the history of Skawina, industry, ethnography and paintings by Ludwik Lipowczan.
The Regional Museum in Skawina is housed in the Ludwikowski Small Palace at Adama Mickiewicza 26. It came into being through cooperation between the town of Skawina and the Society of Friends of Skawina.
The exhibitions show items connected with the history of Skawina and its surroundings, from the town's founding to modern times. A separate exhibition tells the story of Skawina's industry and of its associations and societies. There is also an ethnographic exhibition with folk costumes, everyday objects and agricultural tools, and a collection of paintings by Ludwik Lipowczan.
The museum also organises workshops for children and adults, cultural events and historical walks around the town. Under its care are former buildings of Skawina, among them the Ludwikowski Manor House and the Sokół Small Palace.
The museum lies not far from Skawina Castle, so both places are easy to see during one walk around the centre.
