A regional museum in Muszyna with Lemko, burgher and knightly rooms and collections on the Muszyna Estate.
The Regional Museum of the Muszyna Estate is housed in a reconstructed inn at ulica Krzywa 1 in Muszyna. It was established on 3 August 1958 on the initiative of Karol Rojna by the PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) branch in Muszyna.
It initially operated as the Museum of Muszyna Souvenirs in an inn at ulica Antoniego Kity 16. By the end of the 1990s about 2500 exhibits had been collected, bought, acquired or received as gifts from the inhabitants of Muszyna and the surrounding area. In 2009 the inn was dismantled, among other reasons because of the construction of a bypass, and recreated on the present street. Today the museum belongs to the Centre of Culture and Reading in Muszyna.
Visitors have three rooms at their disposal, Lemko, burgher and knightly, as well as a conference and exhibition hall. The collections concern the history of Muszyna and the Muszyna Estate, the local Lemko and Jewish communities, and non-professional and contemporary art, including works by Władysław Chajec, Aleksander Jurkiewicz and Kazimierz Kwiatkowski. The building also houses a Tourist Information Centre.
Right next door is the Biblical Garden, and higher up the hill with the castle in Muszyna.
