A private museum on the grounds of an apiary in Kamianna, with an exhibition of beekeeping equipment and an open-air museum of figural hives.
The Beekeeping Museum in Kamianna is a private institution in Nowy Sącz County, located on the grounds of the “Barć” Apiary.
The museum has two exhibitions. The first is biographical and devoted to Father Dr Henryk Ostach, a priest and beekeeper, for many years president of the Polish Beekeepers' Association. The second presents beekeeping equipment and tools from the last 200 years.
Next to the museum stands the Bartnik Homestead (Zagroda Bartnik), an open-air museum of figural hives and sculptures, including St Ambrose, the patron saint of beekeepers. On the grounds of the apiary there are also a shop, an inn and a guesthouse, and nearby the Polish Beekeeper's House of the Polish Beekeepers' Association.
