A church museum in the treasury of the Carmelite monastery with early printed books, archives and liturgical objects, open by prior arrangement.
The Carmelite Fathers Museum at Na Piasku is a small church museum at the Carmelite monastery in Kraków, next to the Na Piasku basilica. The entrance is from the monastery side at Karmelicka 19.
The museum was founded in the 1980s and occupies the sacristy hall known as the Treasury. It shows collections from many Carmelite monasteries: early printed books, archival documents, liturgical vessels, chasubles and works of art. The exhibits come mainly from the Kraków convent and from monasteries closed after the Second World War in the eastern territories.
Together with the Carmelite Archive and the Library of Early Printed Books, the museum forms the Collections of the Carmelite Fathers in Poland. Visits take place by prior arrangement, because the website gives no regular opening hours. The museum lies a few hundred metres from the Bagatela Theatre and Planty Park.
