A Neoclassical concert shell from 1926 on the promenade in Krynica-Zdrój, with a plaque dedicated to Jan Kiepura.
The Concert Shell in Krynica-Zdrój is a historic stage building for the spa orchestra, standing on Krynica's promenade on the western slope of Góra Parkowa, between the New Spa House and the Main Pump Room.
The present Neoclassical shell was built in the 1920s and completed in 1926. It replaced an older wooden bandstand with a roof from the 1870s. Since its completion it has not undergone major alterations. Two flights of stairs lead to the interior, joining at the back, where there are the backstage area and the artists' entrance. An ornate chandelier hangs above the stage.
On the front wall is a bas-relief and a plaque dedicated to Jan Kiepura, the singer, who had the Patria villa in Krynica and often performed here. His monument stands nearby: the Jan Kiepura Monument in Krynica-Zdrój.
