A contemporary art gallery in Zakopane, known for the annual March Salons.
The Count Władysław Zamoyski Municipal Art Gallery in Zakopane presents Polish contemporary art. It was founded in 2001 on the site of the former gallery of the Artistic Exhibitions Office.
Besides exhibitions, the gallery organises film screenings, concerts and author meetings. It can therefore happen that instead of paintings alone you come across a meeting with artists.
The best-known series is the annual March Salons, a nationwide contemporary art fair. It is a good moment to see the work of many artists in one place.
The gallery lies in the centre of Zakopane, close to the Tatra Museum and the Karol Szymanowski Museum, so it is easy to combine them in one walk.
