A cultural centre on Rajska Street, a branch of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, with a performance hall and a media library.
The Małopolska Garden of Arts (Małopolski Ogród Sztuki, MOS for short) is a cultural centre in Kraków belonging to the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre. The address is Rajska 12 in the Old Town. It was created as one of the projects co-financed by the European Union under the Lesser Poland Regional Operational Programme for 2007-2013.
MOS gathers an offer of culture, art and education in one building. There is a multi-purpose performance hall and a modern media library. Combining the two allows you, after watching a performance or a presentation of a work, to reach for theoretical knowledge about it.
The offer is aimed at children, young people, people with disabilities, seniors and professionals: artists and creators. The programme involves promoting contemporary art and teaching how to engage with its various forms.
Among the main aims are two programmes. “Dla młodych, o młodych, przez młodych” (For the young, about the young, by the young) supports the creativity and participation of young people. “Bez barier” (Without barriers) makes access to art easier for people at risk of exclusion, for example people with disabilities, older people, people from outside the metropolis or foreign-language speakers.
The Garden lies right in the centre, close to the Bagatela Theatre, the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre and the Main Market Square.
