A post-war brick parish church in Gołcza with three naves and an interior from 1974.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Roman Catholic parish church in Gołcza, a village in Miechów County. It is a post-war church, built in 1946-1952, so it is more modern than most churches in the region.
Construction took place in 1946-1952 under the parish priest Fr Józef Pluta. The church is built of brick with three naves, and a small turret for a sanctus bell rises above it. Next to it stands a free-standing brick bell tower. The interior was furnished in 1974 by Kraków artists from the Mitek family, and the organ has eleven stops on two manuals with a pedalboard. The church was consecrated on 29 May 1983 by Bishop Stanisław Szymecki.
Two cemeteries lie near the church: an older one, from the early 19th century, which is now used only occasionally, and a newer one covering two hectares. From Gołcza it is close to the Złota Góra nature reserve, and further on, in Miechów, stands the Collegiate Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.
