A Neo-Gothic parish church of 1906-1908 designed by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki, built after the previous church burned down.
The Church of St Lawrence the Martyr in Klecza Dolna is a Neo-Gothic pseudo-basilica from the early 20th century, designed by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki. It belongs to the Archdiocese of Kraków and is a heritage site.
The previous church burned down on 21 May 1906. The new one was built in 1906-1908 to a design by Jan Sas-Zubrzycki, and the consecration took place on 28 August 1910. During the German occupation in the Second World War two bells were taken from it.
The building has three naves and the plan of a Latin cross with a transept. It was built of brick with stone detail, with buttresses, and the chancel, side aisles and transept end in polygonal apses. By the corner of the façade stands a hexagonal tower. Inside are an altar and a pulpit of 1910 to a design by Sas-Zubrzycki, a high altar of 1920 and an organ of 1918.
Klecza Dolna lies in the municipality of Wadowice, about 4 km from the basilica in Wadowice and the family home of John Paul II.
