A parish church from 1878-1889 with restored polychromes and stained glass showing St John Paul II
St Martin's Church in Klikuszowa, in Nowy Targ County, is a parish church built in 1878-1889 and consecrated in 1890.
The church consists of a four-bay nave, a narrower one-bay chancel and a massive square tower. A chapel of Our Lady adjoins it on the north side, and a porch on the entrance side. The nave is covered with a barrel vault with lunettes.
The interior has been thoroughly renovated and decorated with paintings by artists from Kraków. The polychromes were made under the direction of Zbigniew Juszczak. The stained glass was designed by Tadeusz Borkowski and shows St John Paul II and the Polish saints he raised to the altars. A 17th-century Baroque side altar has survived inside, probably from the earlier wooden church.
