A historic parish church in Czyżyny, built from 1936, with a tower added in 1989-1991.
St Jude Thaddeus's Church is a historic Roman Catholic parish church in Kraków's Czyżyny, at ulica Wężyka 6, on the Czyżyny estate. It is a three-aisled building of the basilica type.
Construction began in 1936, and the foundation stone was blessed on 16 October. The first Mass was celebrated on 25 December 1936 on the site of the chancel being built. Until 1939 the church stood in a shell state, without a tower. It was blessed in 1942 by Archbishop Adam Sapieha during a visitation of the Mogiła parish, to which Czyżyny then belonged. A separate parish was established on 15 April 1951. In 1989-1991 the previously planned tower, 30 metres high, with a cross 4 metres high, was added.
The main nave has a barrel vault with lunettes, and the chancel is closed in a semicircle. The walls are decorated with polychromes with scenes from the life of Christ and images of saints, and in the windows of the side aisles there is stained glass with saints and biblical scenes. On the tower hang three bronze bells from 1986: St Jude Thaddeus, Mary and John Paul II.
