A brick and stone modernist church from 1988-1992 in Stasikówka, with relics of John Paul II.
The Church of St Joseph the Worker stands in Stasikówka, a village in Poronin municipality in Tatra County (Stasikówka 35B). It is a masonry church of brick and stone, in the modernist style, with one tower with a built-in belfry and one altar.
It was built in 1988-1992 thanks to the support of parishioners and the American Polonia, and blessed on 29 August 1992. Stasikówka belonged to the parish of St Mary Magdalene in Poronin until 20 November 2013, when a decree of the Archbishop of Kraków separated it and created a rectorate here with the rights of a parish. The church holds relics of John Paul II, and the patron's feast falls on 1 May.
The village lies in the shadow of the Tatra Mountains, on the road to Białka Tatrzańska. A few kilometres from the church is the SkyWalk Serce Poronina, and a little further the Terma Bania.
