A parish church from 1986-1994 designed by Witold Cęckiewicz, beside the runway of the former airfield in Czyżyny.
St Brother Albert's Church stands in Czyżyny, on the Dywizjonu 303 estate (no. 63), next to the runway of the now disused airfield. It is a modern parish church built in 1986-1994 to a design by Witold Cęckiewicz.
The site was blessed on 26 September 1982 by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski, and the parish received the permit to build on 2 February 1984. Work on the foundations began on 11 August 1985, and on 24 September 1985 a foundation stone blessed by Pope John Paul II was laid. Bishop Kazimierz Nycz blessed the church on 12 June 1994. The church remains unfinished: it lacks a tower.
A characteristic feature is the steel-framed ceiling, supported on pillars, with a suspended coffered ceiling. The dominant colour of the interior is white. Since 2006 the high altar has held a figure of St Brother Albert with bread in his hands; before that there was a painting by Z. Kopycińska-Wilczkowa, who also made the Stations of the Cross. The church has plaques commemorating airmen of the Second World War (Bronisław Chromy, 1995) and sappers (A. Kołaczyński, 1999), which relates to the neighbouring airfield.
About 1.1 km from the church is the Polish Aviation Museum, located on the grounds of the former Czyżyny airfield.
